FRANCESCO CAPITTA

Francesco Capit­ta grad­u­at­ed with full marks in Law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Sas­sari.  He obtained a Mas­ter in tax law at the LUISS Man­age­ment of Rome and an LL.M. in Inter­na­tion­al Tax at the Law School of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Michi­gan.

He was admit­ted to the Ital­ian Bar in 2001. Since 2014 he is admit­ted to han­dle cas­es before the Ital­ian Supreme Court.

In 2000 he joined a lead­ing Ital­ian tax law firm of which he became part­ner in 2012. From 2014 to 2019 he was tax part­ner of a lead­ing Ital­ian law firm.

He joined Fac­chi­ni Rossi Michelut­ti in Jan­u­ary 2020.

He was co-chair of the Tax­es Com­mit­tee of the IBA (Inter­na­tion­al Bar Asso­ci­a­tion).

He is cur­rent­ly mem­ber of IFA (Interna­tion­al Fis­cal Asso­ci­a­tion) and IBA.  He is also mem­ber of the Tax & Legal Com­mis­sion of AIFI (the Ital­ian Pri­vate Equi­ty Asso­ci­a­tion) and exter­nal mem­ber of the Inter­na­tion­al Tax Com­mis­sion of the Asso­ci­a­tion of Char­tered Accoun­tants of Rome.

He pro­vides tax assis­tance to domes­tic and for­eign cor­po­rate groups, banks and pri­vate equi­ty funds as well as HNWIs. His areas of exper­tise include M&A and reor­gan­i­sa­tion, cor­po­rate tax­a­tion, inter­na­tion­al tax­a­tion, real estate tax­a­tion, finan­cial tax­a­tion, man­age­ment incen­tive plans, assis­tance in pre-lit­i­ga­tion pro­ce­dures, tax lit­i­ga­tion and pri­vate wealth.

He is the author of var­i­ous pub­li­ca­tions on tax law mat­ters and he often speaks at domes­tic and inter­na­tion­al sem­i­nars and con­fer­ences.
