Ric­car­do Michelut­ti grad­u­at­ed cum laude in Eco­nom­ics at the Boc­coni Uni­ver­si­ty of Milan in 1992 where he also obtained a Mas­ter of Cor­po­rate Tax Law in 1993. In 1997 he grad­u­at­ed cum laude in Law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Milan.

He was admit­ted to the Asso­ci­a­tion of Char­tered Accoun­tants of Milan in 1995 and to the Ital­ian Bar in 2001. Since 2020 he is admit­ted to han­dle cas­es before the Ital­ian Supreme Court.

In 1996 he joined a lead­ing inter­na­tion­al tax law firm of which he became part­ner in 2003. He joined Fac­chi­ni Rossi Michelut­ti Stu­dio Legale Trib­u­tario as name part­ner in June 2019.

He is mem­ber of the IBA (Inter­na­tion­al Bar Asso­ci­a­tion).

He is an inde­pen­dent direc­tor and mem­ber of the board of audi­tors of var­i­ous com­pa­nies.

He pro­vides tax assis­tance to domes­tic and for­eign cor­po­rate groups, banks and pri­vate equi­ty funds. His areas of exper­tise include M&A and reor­gan­i­sa­tion trans­ac­tions, finan­cial tax­a­tion, cor­po­rate tax­a­tion, inter­na­tion­al tax­a­tion, trans­fer pric­ing and patent box, man­age­ment incen­tive plans, assis­tance in pre-lit­i­ga­tion pro­ce­dures and tax lit­i­ga­tion.

He is the author of var­i­ous pub­li­ca­tions on tax law mat­ters and he often speaks at domes­tic and inter­na­tion­al sem­i­nars and con­fer­ences.
